Corolation

December Corolation

A Call to Action from Coro's Executive Director

Each year Coro spends over $100,000 on scholarships and stipends to support those who want to learn how the city works so they can make it better.  In fact nearly one-third of our participants receive some kind of financial support.  Last year for the first time, we asked our alumni and friends to give back and support our participants and because of your generosity and the success of the Annual Scholarship Fund, this year we were able to increase the amount of scholarships and stipends we gave out by 21%.

This year, we need you to do it again.

Help us ensure that those from schools and unions, business and communities, government and advocacy groups - not all with formal titles but with the ideas and conviction to do more - can come to Coro and help make New York City a better place for all who live and work here.

Our goal this year is to raise $25,000 which would provide scholarships and stipends for one Coro Fellow; one Leadership New York participant; and six Youth Ambassadors from one of our partner schools in Brooklyn for one year.  In response to feedback from many alumni, this year you have the option to designate your gift to the program of your choice.

Over the next few weeks, we will be featuring friends and supporters who donate to Coro and I hope you will consider joining them with a gift to Coro yourself.  Gifts are fully tax-deductible and can be made HERE.

Thank you for helping us build the leadership community of New York,
