Coro is sad to announce the passing of a member of the alumni community, Hector Gesualdo, a member of the inaugural class of Leadership New York. Hector was the Executive Director of Aspira NY, an organization dedicated to developing the educational and leadership capacity of Hispanic youth. You can read more about Hector here.

Tucker Reed was recently named the new President of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership. You can read more about it here.

Jack Esteron LNY 6 recently completed the new Digital Arts Center at Pratt Institute which achieved LEED Gold certification and has won the Municipal Art Society's Best Neighborhood Catalyst Masterworks Award, as well as the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce's Brooklyn Builds Award and several other design awards. He was also recently elected to the Brooklyn Arts Council, a non-profit arts advocacy group.

Angelo Cabrera ICLP 2011 was recently the subject of an NBC piece about his amazing life and the great work of his group MASA Mex-Ed. You can see the piece here.

Matthew Burnett ICLP 09 was appointed as director of the Immigration Advocates Network. IAN provides an online resource and communication site to support joint work of immigrants' rights groups.

Shelley Zeitlin LNY 13 graduated this year with an MSW (with honors) from Hunter College.

Michelle Sledge NL 2011 recently oversaw the creation of Staten Island's first DOT Plaza Program Project through her group the Northfield Community LDC. The project aims to give North Shore residents greater access to their shoreline. You can read more about the project here.

Philip LI LNY 6 was named the Chief Administrative Officer for The Century Foundation. You can read more about it here.

David Bolotsky LNY 8 was integral in the passage of the Squadron-Silver bill establishing Benefit Corporations in NY. The bill will unlock billions in potential investments in companies that pursue a positive material impact on society and the environment. You can read more about the new law here.
