Mayoral transition: How can Coro help you?

The upcoming election will mark a great transition in our city government.  As an organization committed to building the leadership community of New York City, Coro will support the new administration and Coro alumni in three ways:

Leadership Opportunity:

We will be speaking with the transition teams of the new Mayor, Comptroller, and some City Council members shortly after the election.  One of the things we want to share is information about alumni interested in top leadership positions.  If you are interested in being a part of this group, please fill out this short form HERE by Wednesday, October 30.  This list will be kept in confidence and only shared with members of the transition teams.

How to transition:

To further support alumni who would like to work for the new administration, we will also be hosting an event on Thursday, November 14th from 7-9PM on how to get a job in city government, as well as how to transition out of government to the non-profit sector.

Event details:

What: Mayoral Transition Event Co-hosted by Coro and Public Works Partners

Where: 220 Fifth Avenue, 5th Floor

When: Thursday, November 14th.  7:00PM-9:00PM

Connect with the Network:

For those thinking about new jobs at this time, I also want to remind you about the great resource that you always have available to you:  the Coro network.  There are over 900 alumni now on our LinkedIn group and more are accessible through the alumni directory (also available on LinkedIn.).  If you are not connecting with alumni through that I would encourage you to do so.  Jobs that we learn about from the network are also posted there.

For years, Coro alumni have used their knowledge, skills, and networks to make their mark in city government.  We hope that tradition will continue with a new administration.   Thank you.
