Elizabeth Demetriou NL 2011 was invited by the Strelka Institute in Moscow to speak as part of their summer series, "Agents of Change". On July 12th she spoke about her experiences in the revitalizations and development of Red Hook, Brooklyn.
Gloria J. Browne-Marshall LNY 10 gave commentary for CNN on the Healthcare case, Thursday, June 28th as well as on AG Eric Holder's contempt of Congress vote, June 29th. Gloria J. Browne-Marshall, an Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at John Jay College in NYC, Director of The Law and Policy Group, Inc., and author of several books on law, is a free-lance journalist covering the U.S. Supreme Court for several newspapers and radio.
Gregg Bishop LNY 21 was named Deputy Commissioner of Business Development at the Department of Small Business Services (SBS). Gregg has made significant contributions to growing the City's M/WBE program, including the launch of Compete to Win, a $3.2 million set of new capacity-building programs designed to strengthen certified firms competing for City contracts.
Colleen Galvin LNY 16 will play an even greater role in the Business Development Division with an expanded portfolio as Assistant Commissioner for Capital Access and Business Services. Building on her achievements in capital access and capacity-building, including programs such as Strategic Steps for Growth and the Bank Advisory Council, Colleen's portfolio will be expanded to include NYC Business Solutions Centers and business services.
